JAMAICAN PRESSED PLANTAIN RECIPE
Step 1
Using a sharp knife and cutting board or mandolin, slice green plantain paper thin, maybe ⅛th of an inch.
Step 2
Heat oil on medium heat, or use a deep fryer.
Step 3
Once oil is heated, drop a few pieces of plantains one by one, cooking for 10 seconds on each side. Remove from the oil, place on a paper towel to drain excess oil and immediately season with a sprinkle on salt.
Ensure not to overcrowd the oil to create an even fry. This will help the oil in maintaining proper temperature.
Step 4
Repeat the frying and seasoning process until all plantains are fried.
Serve with a dip of choice.

Wow you got them so thin! They look so good, makes me want to buy a plantain tomorrow! Any advice for picking a good one?
