Ingredients
  

  • 1 Pound Ribeye Steak
  • 1 Tablespoon Meat Seasoning
  • 1 Teaspoon Course Black Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Sprig Thyme
  • 3 Cloves Garlic Cut in Half

Instructions
 

Seasoning the Steak

  • Remove the steak from the package and place on a plate or a flat surface.
    Sprinkle the Jamaican all purpose seasoning and coarse black pepper on both sides and massage to evenly distribute the spices.
  • Set the seasoned steak aside for about 15 minutes or until the meat comes to room temperature.

Searing the Steak

  • Place the cast iron skillet on medium high heat and allow the pan the slightly smoke.
  • Add the cooking oil to the skillet, ensuring that the pan is evenly coated.
  • Sear the steak on both sides for 6 minutes each.
    Add the thyme, unsalted butter and garlic once flipped, after the first 6 minutes.
  • Remove the steak from the cast iron skillet and allow the meat to rest for 10 minutes before slicing or serving.
  • Pour the hot browned butter and garlic onto the steak after resting and slicing or servings.
