Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • ½ Cup Unsalted Butter Cold
  • ½ Cup Cold Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Jamaican Curry Powder
  • ¼ Teaspoon Salt

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, add the all purpose flour, curry powder and salt.
  • Use a fork to combine the Jamaican Curry Powder and salt in to the all purpose flour.
  • Once the dry ingredients have combined, add the cold butter and use the fork to break the butter into the flour mixture.
    This should resemble breadcrumb!
  • After cutting the butter into the flour, add the cold water.
  • Gently mix the water into crumbly flour mixture until a soft dough is form.
    DO NOT KNEAD!
  • Wrap the dough in the plastic wrap and rest for 10 minutes.
  • Flour a flat surface with a light amount of flour and roll out the dough to about an ⅛th of an inch.
  • Cut the dough into 8 equal pieces and lay each piece on a non-stick baking tray.
  • Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees fahrenheit or until golden brown.

To Fill the Jamaican Patty Crust

  • Before baking, add your desired filling to only a half of the dough.
  • Fold the empty side of the dough onto the filling and seal the edges with your fingers.
  • With filling, bake for an additional 15 minutes.
